teacher taped up a child for refusing to take a nap. >> rain will make landfall, could impact some of the southern peninsula as well as in the south bay. keep the umbrellas handy in the bay area. right now we're just contending with light rain. dry air, clear conditions on highway four. the north bay, not seen too much for palo mud down toward nevado. this continues to slide its way east. we say some pop up showers, of stray cells sitting over the bay making its way closer to the 880 corridor. we did see some light rain over milpitas. a live shot from mt. tam, looks gorgeous out there. temperatures right now and the 40's and '50's. we'll

you can see where it's happening here on the map. kurds say they're having a hard time containing the fire. -- crews . jackie sissel is live on the same. >> for a half hours after the fire started you can see crews out here fighting the to structure fire. this all started around 230 this morning when the contra costa county fire department received a call of the fire on the island. initially it was a single structure single story fire. when they got out here they determined indeed it was a fire but it was also a two-story house right next door to it. unfortunately some power lines went down as they were fighting did structure fire

which made them kind of back off the scene. unfortunately the fire spread to the house next door and those of the flames you see there. it is a two-story house. these houses are built up an extra story because it is a flood site. it is actually to stories of livable space. it will be really difficult for the firefighters to fight this because the bottom of the structure has been burned out. we continue to see flames, a spark of out here. the last couple of minutes again see the firefighters have a ladder truck out here. they're hoping to pour some water down from the top on to the fire. we had a chance to talk to the fire chief earlier this morning and he talked about some of the issues they had with the fire. >> around 20 6:00 a.m. we got a report of the structure fire. eight

minutes later we found a single story house fully engulfed with flames tenting on the two-story structures to the side. we were starting to work on that and we had a power line go down which hampered our ability to protect one of the two- story houses which unfortunately been caught on fire. we're still working on the fire on the two-story house. >> we are being told one of the residence sustained minor smoke inhalation and is injuries. they have been transported. almost 4 1/2 hours after this started, they are still trying of the water on this fire. it does not look like it was read any more than it has but it is a developing story. if we get any more informations we will pass along. >> i trained hit and killed

a pedestrian on the cal train tracks in san jose. the person was hit by a northbound train near west virginia street. the train had recently left the team itamien station and there was only one passenger on board. several other trains were delayed. the death was the fourth fatality on the cal trans corridor this year. >> they need to do a better job, letting the parents know. especially with the bomb threat. >> the school is doing everything possible in order to protect the students. students are number one here in fremont. >> fremont police say they

alerted the public about the bomb threat using their legal system. the school superintendent says cool the not contact parents about the recent falls alarm. >> 7 of 6:00 a.m. and a preschool is reopening today after being closed for four days after discovering a teacher had tied up a child for refusing to take a nap. will tran giant as from center point christian preschool. >> this feature is barred from finding any employment in the teaching profession while this investigation is ongoing. i just got off the fall of one of the administrators, school started five minutes ago. they're refusing to go on camera but they are saying is that for instance of days learning about what happened and talking about it. they brought in experts to learn from this and to prevent from happening again the

check, at east trade is still on time. trains ran five out of the central valley of our problem free for bart caltrans and the muni metro. >> we get our news this morning with a developing story out of san jose. police are looking for gunman who they say shot a man an apparent drive-by shooting. it happened there fisher middle school at 1720 hopkins and drive. police say the victim between 18 and 20 years old was standing on the sidewalk where light-colored as you drove by and someone opened fire. the victim remains in the hospital this morning, their condition remains unknown. last we heard, they were helping them recover from his injuries. the shooting happened just about 2 mi. away from monday's deadly officer involved shooting. this is video from this are helicopter partnership with abc seven news. in this case, officers

santa rosa boy who died when he was hit by a race car driven by his cousin saturday is planning a memorial. the boy's grandfather says there'll be a private funeral saturday followed by public memorial sunday. markets and johnson was an eighth grader who was in the pit area of the marysville race track with his cousins race car was off the track and hit him along with another big dumb, up and they'l victim dale wonderge. he also died. the family says the driver, a 17 year- old petaluma high school student was like a brother to the victim.

police are looking for a man who made off with the 5,600 lbs. will copper wire from a pg&e storage yard. the copper was stolen on sunday and is valued at more than $25,000. police said the man stole forklift from a nearby construction site, and drove it through a fence at a storage yard and use it to load the spool of copper onto a flatbed truck. >> city leaders in santa clara believe they are one step closer to getting superable 50 in 2016. city council members unanimously approved a measure tuesday that exhumes the nfl from paying millions of dollars in exchange for santa clara to host the super bowl. as a are the measure, hotel taxes to of those up with the nfl will be waived as well 2000 as to tax surcharges that would go in and funding to in new stadium.

this morning at 1480 taylor st.. you can see where it is happening here on the map. crews say they're having a hard time containing the fire. >> to get more news faster, let us turn to one are so reporters kron 4 jackie sissel live on bethel island. >> it it did take five hour to finally get this thing under control according to contra costa county fire chief. around 230 this morning there received a call on the 1400 block of taylor wrote on bethel island. on a single story structure fire. >> when they arrived they found a single story fire fully involved. the fire was next door to a second house. ashley to a house next door to the fire. some power lines went down when they start to fight the fire causing the firefighters to back away from the fire completely. at that point that is when the fire spread to the second home.

you can see the damage to that haul almost completely destroyed. there was a third home with minor damage. you can see the two homes that are completely destroyed. they cannot because of the fire now. that will be part of the investigation. three people have been displaced. 10 was a resident that sustained minor injuries. smoke inhalation injuries while fighting the fire. you can see the power lines that were down. that is what caused the fire fighters to back away from the scene initially. it took awhile because of the structure itself. is three stories ollie to stores are livable. it is a flood plain out here. it took awhile to get it out. you can see the damage here. it is almost a complete loss. the home front is the one where the fire initially started. the fire department is still here now doing cleanup mode. it looks for the most are like everyonething is ok now.
